Complementary & Alternative Medicine in Practice: Using Evidence Based Yoga to Evaluate the Athlete

My presentation on behalf of PYT and the Professional Yoga Therapy method was well attended on Thursday morning at 7 am.  In fact, the room was full and was standing room only by the time I finished the presentation.

Here are a few photos from the journey.

Many thanks to NATA  & its Educational Review Commitee for inviting me to speak on the grassroots project of PYT and the new topic of medical therapeutic yoga and evaluation methods in rehabilitation.  My presentation marks a first in medical therapeutic yoga for the NATA, now celebrating the 61st year of its Annual National Convention.

The presentation met the ears of very motivated ATC's, RN's, PhD's, PT's, and OT's, all interested in learning how to use a "wholistic" model of professional yoga therapy evaluation and management for their patients.  The conclusion of the presentation met a resounding approval.

Due to high interest in my methods and presentation, the NATA will be offering my presentation as a DVD production exclusively through its publishing house Healthy Learning. Healthy Learning was on site with a video team, and my presentation will be available for purchase exclusively through the NATA as a continuing education DVD in the coming months.  So stay tuned!
