PYT Graduate Opens New Integrative Physical Therapy Practice

By Ginger - Posted on 07 January 2011

If you asked me three years ago if I’d be teaching small yoga classes, I’d say, hmmm, probably not in the plans.   But yet, I have vaulted into a new venture to cultivate my “yoga side.”

Yoga sutra 1.2, yoga chitta vritti nirodhah: Yoga offers a quieting or channeling of the fluctuations of the mind-stuff or field. I believe I was able to quiet my mind to allow for things to just happen…  to allow myself to be receptive rather than asking for something.  And here I am…I have now ventured into a new chapter without even realizing that it was in the grand plan.

I started studying with Professional Yoga Therapy Studies (PYTS) in hopes of gaining more tools for my tool belt as a physical therapist.  I never had any intention of teaching group classes. I now have a small studio space in which I am teaching small group classes, as well as private sessions, JustBreathePT.  My mission is to blend Western and Eastern medicine to provide my clients/students with the tools to empower their own self-healing.  I can still be found at my full time position at Alameda Orthopedic and Sports Therapy for physical therapy evaluations and treatments.

I offer you safety in my science background of physical therapy blended with the subtleties of yoga. Services include small group yoga classes, as well as private yoga therapy sessions. I am also willing to make house visits.

I urge you to look at yourself in the eyes of wellness.  You are not a diagnosis, or a body part.  You are a combination of mind, body and spirit.

Find out more at www.JustBreathePT.com or email me at JustBreathePT@gmail.com
